Yoga


The philosophy of Yoga is the conscious and deep breathing, is the balance of body and mind, is the concentration and mental strength.

Through asanas (postures), breathing and relaxation, Yoga provides a personal quest for self-knowledge. Yoga helps learning how to calm the mind.

Types of Yoga:

- Hatha Yoga: Associated with the practice of postures and breathing exercises;

- Raja Yoga: meditation and practices related to mind control;

- Bhakti Yoga: Associated to devotion, to rituals and prayer;

- Karma Yoga: Associated with the attitude and action of human values;

- Dhyana Yoga: Related to meditation, visualization and contemplation;

- Jnana Yoga: Associated to the scriptures study;

- Kriya Yoga: Associated with the energy balance through the practice of mantra meditation;

- Kundalini Yoga: Associated to unblocking the energy flow in the body;

Yoga is basically a lifestyle in which the "Yogi" adopts all the practices described above. We can not separate the activities associated with the pursuit of self-knowledge as these are connected.
